I’m Sierra!

I give upholstered pieces from the past a new life in the future by combining the western and cowboy way of life, fine fabrics and vintage furniture.

I started updating furniture and painting cabinets in college. When my son was born, I learned to upholster in an effort to leave my job in healthcare and spend more time with him.

My business name “The Rusted Roan” came from roan gelding, Dodge, my heart horse, who was my right hand man while doing “cowgirl stuff”. He passed in a tragic accident spring 2022 but lives on in the pieces I produce.
