Beginner’s Dining Room Chair Seat Upholstery Workshop- Orland, CA December 14, 2024

Join Sierra from the Rusted Roan Design Co. for a beginner dining room chair/seat upholstery workshop. This workshop is great for students wanting to start or expand their upholstery skills. It is limited to 6 students for quality instruction.

This workshop is for seats only, no upholstered backs and is a non-sewing workshop. No experience necessary.

What is included in the workshop:

The use of upholstery tools, staple guns, compressors, instruction for the day, educational information, and a glass of wine (after upholstering).

The workshop will begin at 11am and will end at approximately 4pm.

Prior to this dining room chair upholstery workshop, students must submit for approval a picture of the project they would like to work on. Choosing the right piece to reupholster will help you complete the project within the allotted time frame. Please send pictures to Sierra by email at sierra@therustedroan.com.

What the student is responsible for:

Students will be responsible for their dining room chair frame project, padding, fabric, and finishes (decorative tacks). Each student will bring their project (this must be approved before the class). Fabric, padding, etc can be supplied as well for an additional cost.

Please have your piece torn down to the bare frame prior to the workshop and bring the old fabric and padding, old (and new-if needed) with you. You can bring your own tools or upholstery tools are provided. If any frame repair is needed, this should be done before the workshop. If you would like your frame painted/stained, this should be done before workshop.

This class will be taking place at Raging Bull Vineyard Tasting Room in Orland, CA. The address is 18850 Newville Rd., Orland, CA 95963.

Directions: Coming from North or South on I-5- Take exit 619 (County Road 200/Newville) in Orland, CA. Go WEST 10 miles until you see the sign on your right for Raging Bull Vineyard. Turn into the driveway and stay right to follow the signs to the Red Barn tasting room.

Coming from Hwy 99- Take Hwy 32 West to Orland, CA. Hwy 32 will turn into County Road 200/Newville Rd. Go over the freeway overpass and WEST 10 miles until you see the sign on your right for Raging Bull Vineyard. Turn into the driveway and stay right to follow the signs to the Red Barn tasting room.
